My adoration for the enchantment that is the Rouge Bunny Rouge line has been demonstrated time and again (reviews HERE, HERE and HERE, for example).  That being said, I am excited to share my latest acquisitions from this gorgeous independent European line...the freshly-released Succulence of Dew Lipsticks.  The quality and whimsy with which each Rouge Bunny Rouge product is excecuted makes for sheer delight and these lipsticks are no exception!

Kindly scroll on for a sneak peek at the Rouge Bunny Rouge Succulence of Dew Lipsticks, images of the lip color in action as well as the Bottom Line...

The new Succulence of Dew Lipstick now comes in a weighty, all black case with subtle floral embellishment...this fresh design brings a sleek energy to the Rouge Bunny Rouge line and I, for one, am enchanted with this design choice.

From a formula perspective, the lip color is highly-pigmented but applies in a sheer, but buildable, manner.  They possess a slightly shiny finish that is devoid of all signs of shimmer...refreshing, to say the least!  The lipstick smoothly glides onto the lips, leaving them looking lush and healthy and I appreciate the fact that the staying power is formidable (4-5 hours with the darker shades), especially for a sheerer texture.

Finally, the Succulence of Dew formula (which is made in Italy) is very moisturizing; the emollient properties protect the lips from dryness while still feeling relatively weightless over the course of wear. This is easily one of the most perfect semi-sheer lipstick formulas I have in my vast collection!

The five shades I tried were:
  • Perfume of His Gaze: A mid-toned mauve beige for a new take on a 90's neutral nude lip...polished and sophisticated in one swipe.
  • Murmurings: A deep rose-nude-brown...this leans slightly warm to flatter an array of skintones and will likely translate as a MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade on most.
  • Musings: A peachy pink confection that, of course, is a favorite.  It is light enough to satisfy my penchant for pinky nudes while having enough pigment to impart a "pop of color" effect.
  • Jasmine-Weighted Air: A vibrant fuchsia pink that leans cool and almost ultra-violet in nature.  The fact that it applies sheerly, however, ensures its wearability.
  • Relish of Heaven: A bold coral-meets-red that has a brightening effect on the face and whitening effect on the teeth.  Even though it is the deepest shade of the five (and I tend to be a die-hard nude lover), I was instantly smitten with this wearable crimson the moment I applied it!

I applied each shade over the new Rouge Bunny Rouge Kiss Elixir (also reviewed HERE), an extremely moisturizing lip balm with a non-sticky cushiony texture and slightly shiny finish.  There is just enough slip in this lush, unscented salve to make it an excellent base for lipstick, though I am partial to slathering it on liberally whenever the notion strikes!
