5 Ways to Get Your Glow On

Illuminating products can be tricky...too much radiance and the "glow" can translate as (gasp!) oily and too little luminosity and one is compelled to ask, what's the point?  Consequently, I am excited to share 5 incandescent beauty finds so you can get your glow on!

First up...how to deliver radiance to the eyes.  I love the gossamer texture of the Giorgio Armani Fluid Eye Color (available at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom and swatched + reviewed HERE); it feels like a lush cream upon contact, but dries down to a luminous power finish that lasts for hours without creasing.  The shimmer is so fine and complex that it doesn't dance into glitter territory; quite refreshingly, it perfectly embodies the concept of the "satin finish." Two of my favorite shades from this formula are Senso, a medium warm bronze-meets- brown and Rose Ashes, a rose gold beige.  Worn together (with Senso as a base and Rose Ashes as a blend to the brow shade), they effortlessly convey a luminous neutral vibe. 

Next, are four more befitting options for an ethereal visage.  For the face, I've been loving the *Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Skin Liquid Lighting (available at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom and reviewed HERE).  Housed in an airless pump this rich fluid blends seamlessly for a "second skin" effect that adds a subtle sheen.  It can be mixed into foundation for increased radiance or tapped on top of makeup to bring light to the face.  The *Napoleon Perdis Light Switch Luminizing Palette (available at Neiman Marcus and reviewed HERE) is a genius way to pinpoint glow on your canvas...with 5 custom cream shades of varying hue and intensity, this gem allows for endless, luminous creativity!

For lips, I the Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Color in Golden Peach (available at Nordstrom, Sephora and Neiman Marcus and reviewed HERE) has had a permanent position in my purse this spring.  The hydrating texture glides on like a gloss but delivers the pigmentation of a lipstick and this pearly peachy nude is simply gorgeous on its own (for a pared down look) or over a darker lip liner (for more multidimensional effect).  Akin to "light in a tube," the *Chantecaille Galactic Gloss in Polaris (available at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Space.NK and reviewed HERE and HERE) is a dreamy iridescent gel that is at once moisturzing and nourishing.  It provides lush shine on contact and, in a pinch, can also be used as a highlighter on the face (trust me, I've tried while on the go!).
