I am currently in the midst of travel and, while I gave myself the day off to embrace a bit of decompressing, I am finding myself completely unable to refrain from posting about the new Tom Ford Matte Lipstick (most shades initially swatched HERE) in "First Time." This peachy pink nude wonder is extremely pigmented and imparts a soft color on the lips that works for a nude look while still drenching the lips in color.
The matte formula, while not ultra hydrating (what matte is?), is not drying, even for someone who suffers from a perennially parched pout! I adore this shade and, since it is limited edition, beseech you, dear readers who love pinky peach lips as much as I do, to pick it up while its still available. I will try to do a closeup review soon...in the meanwhile, I hope the images inspire you to check this gem out!
Kindly scroll on for more images and the Bottom Line...
Bottom Line: This LE lipstick (currently available at Neiman Marcus) is a MUST for those of us enchanted with soft, full coverage pinky peach nudes...so much so that I ordered a backup! Get this.
I have loved the Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturizer (also featured HERE) for years. Early on in my foundation journey (well before starting this blog), I was delighted to discover that this formula, which I wore in the shade Ivory, offered supreme medium to full coverage while still looking entirely natural. After dealing with standard tinted moisturizers that offered little to no coverage, stumbling upon the Hourglass version was a delight. I must admit that I was a bit skeptical when I heard that this gorgeous formula was to be reformulated. Would it be as good as the original? I am pleased to confirm that the Hourglass Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint is indeed as good (if not better!) than the first installment, if only now because it comes in new shades and is housed in a terribly purse-friendly (as opposed to a luxe, but heavy, glass bottle) tube!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches of every shade, images of the formula in action as well as the Bottom Line...
Above: The new packaging feaures a slender, purse-friendly tube.
What it is: A travel-friendly foundation that reduces the appearance of fine lines and hydrates to leave skin glowing.
What it does: Fortified with Hourglass’ Hyaluronan Complex, Illusion® supports skin by plumping fine lines and wrinkles and relieving dryness. Formulated with an advanced form of hyaluronic acid, this foundation disguises deep wrinkles over the course of a day, and its pearlescent pigments leave the complexion with an ultravibrant glow.
What it is formulated WITHOUT: - Parabens - Sulfates - Phthalates
What else you need to know: Carisa Janes wanted to create a supremely hydrating, firming, and illuminating foundation that was an instant remedy for lackluster skin.. This fall, it is reborn in a lightweight, travel-friendly tube, and new shades have been added to accommodate a wider range of skin tones.
Above: The squeeze tube tip allows for precise dispensing of the formula...no waste!
My Thoughts: As aforementioned, this tinted moisturizer is unlike any TM formula I have ever experienced, even after years of product trials! The coverage is just so effortlessly medium to full; there is no need to "build it up" and, despite having a brilliant ability to diminish imperfections, it does not look (or feel, I might add) obvious.
I prefer to buff a pea sized amount onto my face with a dampened Beauty Blender and am always stunned by the coverage this small quantity imparts. The formula feels slightly "fluffy" but blends like a dream, smoothing over the skin and becoming one with the canvas. Its cushiony texture makes the skin look impossibly smooth, banishing fine lines, pronounced pores and other undesirable skin issues. The end result is perfectly even skin with a slightly glowy natural finish.
There is absolutely no added fragrance with this tinted moisturizer (excellent!) and it has in no way irritated my extremely sensitive skin. Despite the formidable coverage, this does not feel heavy...my skin actually feels like it can breathe, even on days when I wear it from dawn until dusk.
Also, I believe the wear time of the new formula to be significantly improved. The lasting power of the original formula was respectable, clocking in a between five and six hours of wear before requiring a touch up. However, with the new skin tint, I easily get seven to nine hours of comfortable wear...exceptional!
In sum, this is a marvelous option for someone looking for the ease and utility of tinted moisturizer coupled with the coverage and performance of a luxurious foundation...highly recommended.

Bottom Line: The Hourglass Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint is, in my opinion, the best tinted moisturizer on the market. The natural, medium to full coverage, immense skincare benefits and gorgeous glowing finish (that lasts for hours!) collectively make it a must in my rotation. Now that it has been reformulated with even more skin-friendly ingredients and is housed in a perfectly pragmatic tube furthers its value in my eyes...love this!

I have been enchanted by Poppy King's Lipstick Queen line (mentioned HERE, HERE and HERE) for decades. As an unapologetic lipstick fiend, the notion of a cosmetics line entirely devoted to an evolving menagerie of lip products is simply thrilling. Imagine my delight when given the chance to interview Poppy during her most recent West Coast appearance at the iconic Barney's New York in Beverly Hills. Petite and stylish with flawless alabaster skin and a terribly warm personality, Poppy is a modern classic. She is every bit as lovely as I expected and I thoroughly enjoyed our time together.

Above: The Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Revela Foundation in 110 Caramel.
Never one to ignore a new luxury foundation release, I recently tracked down the Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Reveal Lift Foundation (available at Saks Fifth Avenue and Sephora). I planned to simply swatch the shades since I had received many questions regarding this formula, but once I experienced it on my skin, I was compelled to pick up a bottle in my shade (which, for reference, is 110 Caramel). Boasting medium to full coverage, anti-aging skincare benefits and a natural, slightly glowy finish, this foundation is utterly marvelous!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches of every shade, images of the foundation in action as well as the Bottom Line...
Above: The formula contains a mixture of chemical + physical sunscreen.
Here are the oficial details, courtesy of Sephora:
What it is: A high-performance foundation formula enriched with special skincare moisturizing properties to create the appearance of naturally younger-looking skin.
What it does: Perfect Reveal Lifting Foundation enhances your complexion’s natural youthfulness, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and achieves medium to full foundation coverage. Specially formulated with the exclusive Gold Flavo-Silk Tricomplex™, this foundation is infused with extracts of gold silk sericin, Italian olive oil, and vitamin B3. This unique blend of ingredients work together to restore the skin’s natural moisture, smooth the skin’s texture, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in four weeks.
-Gold Flavo-Silk Tricomplex™: Reduces fine lines and wrinkles in four weeks.
Above: This comes in a sleek glass bottle with a pump dispenser for precise product release.
My Thoughts:
This foundation is intriguing. The liquid texture could initially give off the impression that it yields sheer coverage; however, the formula is pigment rich and a little goes a long way in achieving a medium to full coverage effect. Applied with a dampened Beauty Blender, it glides on with ease and I do not need more than two or three small pumps to cover my entire face.
Texturally, this is smooth and hydrating, imparting a natural matte finish that makes my skin look healthy, even and slightly creamy. I don't find that it settles into fine lines and, even after hours of wear, it remains intact, somehow avoiding all signs of oxidation. Although the coverage is magnificent, I feel like my skin can still breathe! I get 5-6 hours of comfortable wear (on a hot day) before needing to touch up with powder and can't wait to test its longevity when the weather gets cooler and more fall-like around here...I suspect it will be quite good. A bit of dewiness and glow develops after about an hour of wear, but it is nominal, does not compromise the performance of the foundation and personally, I think it actually enhances the beauty of the finish.
There is no fragrance to potentially irritate my sensitive skin and I haven't experienced any adverse effects with any of the ingredients in this formula. All in all, this is a lovely release and I find that I am reaching for it frequently, along with my beloved Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation.

Bottom Line: I am really glad that I took the time to pursue the Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Reveal Lift Foundation (available at Saks Fifth Avenue and Sephora). Although it is not readily available at a spectrum of retailers, there is something about the thrill of the hunt that is inherently satisfying! This formula's creamy, medium coverage finish, coupled with purported anti-aging benefits makes for a formidable release, expecially when one considers the very respectable lasting power. Although I haven't used it regularly enough (this girl has been testing a massive amount of foundations lately!) to calibrate any long term skincare benefits, I am consistenly pleased with how smooth and soft my skin feels during and after wear. This will continue to be a part of my foundation rotation and I recommend it for those seeking slightly glowy, medium to full coverage and skincare benefits...it's marvelous!
Have YOU tried this formula yet? Thoughts?
Much more soon, including some style posts, a current makeup routine video and some new eye shadow!
Here is a tutorial featuring my current makeup routine with a decent discussion of skincare thrown in for good measure. I filmed this while traveling so please bear in mind that the lighting, sound and background were unpredictable elements out of my control ; ) Hope you enjoy this nonetheless!
Products (with links to their respective reviews etc.) Discussed:
Bottom Line: I didn't realize how many products go into my daily routine until I filmed this video! Granted, some of them are only integrated when time permits; overall, however, I am pleased with how quickly I can implement them in the rush of the early morning. Do you spy any favorites?
Good things ahead, including more foundation, some style posts and, in light of the sheer amount of products explored in this video, a fairly restrained October Favorites (aiming to keep it at 10 products!).
Hope you're having a lovely weekend...xx,

Above: The Chantecaille 15 Year Anniversary Palette.
Occasionally, very few words are necessary to properly convey the beauty and utility of a seasonal release. Such is the case for the Chantecaille Fall 2014 Collection. The breathtaking 15 Year Anniversary Palette (available at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's and Saks) and Hydra Chic Lipstick in Fairy Moss are amongst the lovliest of the latest releases and the following images thoroughly authenticate this assertion!
Kindly scroll on for more details and images as well as the Bottom Line...
Above: Beauty with a purpose...proceeds from the sale of this palette go towards the protection of endangered elephants, butterflies and sea turtles.
Here are the official details, courtesy of Nordstrom:
Chantecaille celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, and to mark the event the brand has created a striking eyeshadow trio inspired by animals from the land, sea and air. Embodying Chantecaille's commitment to the environment, the limited-edition palette revisits the causes that have remained close to Chantecaille's heart throughout the years.
Trio includes:
- Elephant: a deep, earthy aubergine that can be applied wet or dry to the crease or lash line.
- Butterfly: a warm buttery vanilla that can be used to smooth and highlight the eyelid or brow bone.
- Sea Turtle: a delicate copper infused with light-reflecting rose-gold pearl.
0.25 oz.
By Chantecaille; made in Italy.
Proceeds from each 15 Year Anniversary Trio sold will be proudly donated to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Monarch Butterfly Fund and WIDECAST to help protect our endangered elephants, butterflies and sea turtles respectively.
I found these shadows to be utterly gorgeous...smooth, buttery and pigmented, they glide on with ease and stay in place without creasing:
The deep brown is neutral with a satin finish for a smoky eye or crease accent.
The soft creamy beige has a gossamar touch, perfect for highlighting the brow bone.
The warm taupy mink works well over the entire lid and lower lashline...ultra flattering!

Above: Chantecaille Hydra Chic Lipstick in Fairy Moss, a delicate pinky beige.
Next up is the Chantecaille Hydra Chic Lipstick in Fairy Moss. This ultra moisturizing formula provides slightly glossy, pigmented coverage in a single swipe. Fairy Moss is a pinky beige that leans neutral, enabling it to be flattering to a spectrum of skin tones; it also effortlessly pairs well with the 15th Anniversary Palette. I find it dark enough to keep the complexion from appearing washed out but light enough to create a proper "nude lip." With a slightly herbal scent and buttery texture, the Hydra Chic Lipstick embodies the sophisticated quality one expects from the Chantecaille line.
Above: Due to its neutral undertones, Fairy Moss is a wonderful nude lip shade for a host of skin tones.
Here are the official details, courtesy of Nordstrom:
A modern full-impact lipstick that is hydrating and luminous with six hours of great color. Packaged in a slim stylo, this formula delivers sophisticated matte color with a natural satin finish. The texture melts onto lips with a comforting and hydrating sensorial application. Natural extracts of papaya and orchid help to soften lips and provide antioxidant, anti-aging protection. A natural sugar derivative provides superior hydration.

Bottom Line: The Chantecaille 15 Year Anniversary Palette (available at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's and Saks) and Hydra Chic Lipstick in Fairy Moss are lusciously wearable Fall 2014 additions that eminate a subtle, glowing, timeless effect that translates from day to night with ease. Both may be new for fall, however, the classic look they--in tandem--create is befitting for every season. I implore you to track them down and add them to your beauty rotation...you won't regret the indulgence when you find yourself reaching for them time and time again!

Above: Kork-Ease Natalya Booties...form and function incarnate...more on these later on in the post!
There is (finally!) a touch of coolness in the air...perhaps a harbinger of the fall weather to come? In turn, I've been embracing a few key wardrobe pieces, perfect for the transitional months of October and November. Booties, jumpsuits and separates have punctuated my daily uniform!
Kindly scroll on for more details, images and the Bottom Line...
First up, I am adoring the Dacey Jumpsuit from Anthropologie. The unique pattern, lush, billowing fabric and ease of wear make this the perfect choice for work (I recently wore this to a business dinner with my husband and just may wear it tomorrow for my long teaching day) and play. There is nothing I do not love about this jumpsuit!
Above: Separates from Topshop and Tildon for edgy versatility.
Next, separates have been dominating my closet as of late. I especially love this scuba skirt from Topshop, paired with a floral long sleeved crop top by Tildon make for an edgy outfit (donned, most recently, during a night on the town) that can also be worn apart. The skirt has been a key element in a few outfits lately and the top looks casual and relaxed with jeans. I am also wearing my favorite Rag and Bone Noelle Booties (reviewed HERE)...such a magnificent investment.
Above: Kork-Ease...as comfortable as the name implies.
Back to the Kork-Ease Natalya Booties...I originally picked these up (on sale, no less!) in the luggage color above. I was STUNNED by how comfortable they were...no "break in" period, no foot pain or toe pinching, even after a 10 hour day of teaching...truly astounding! They are constructed of soft yet durable leather with a side zipper and a beautiful wedge heel that provides height while simultaneously feeling very grounded. Not only are they endlessly comfortable, they are also visually interesting. The fact that they are still on sale at Nordstrom is insane to me.
Above: My tan pair of Natalya booties...so chic, no?
I originally purchased a tan pair and was so taken with their wonder, that I promptly ordered a black pair as well. They are equally delightful! I highly recommend these booties for those looking for comfort, style and a bit of height...I know I will be wearing them non-stop this fall and winter.
Above: Black and tan together.
Above: Side zipper and perfectly sturdy wedge...my feet are ebullient when I wear these!
Above: Wearing my tan pair with a striped crop and cut-offs...my casual weekend attire, this time at the Parker Hotel in Palm Springs (more on this little excursion soon!).
Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this brief departure from my normally beauty-centric posts and I beseech you to take a peek at the Kork-Ease Natalya Booties...as one who spends every day on her feet, I am floored by the level of comfort these shoes embody. The fact that they are a brilliant buy (still on sale!) further enhances their virtue.
What are some of your favorite pieces for fall?
Still in the midst of responding to comments and emails this week...I hope your week has been fantastic thus far!
Good things ahead...a video, some new beauty discoveries, a touch of foundation and a dash of skincare thrown in for good measure.
Above: Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation in Shade #6...light to medium coverage for a glowing finish.
After being backordered for nearly a month, I was beyond excited to finally receive the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Youth Boosting Perfect Skin Foundation a week or two ago. Although I am still experimenting with it, I wanted to share my preliminary thoughts on this lovely formula, as well as swatches of every shade (which, up to this point, have been mournfully absent on the Internet!). I've also included some images of the foundation in action as well as photos from the Charlotte Tilbury event I attended earlier this month!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches, a recap of the Charlotte Tilbury line's debut at Nordstrom in LA and the Bottom Line...
Above: The sturdy tube is a perfect companion for one's handbag.
Here are the official details, courtesy of Nordstrom:

A pool of youth-boosting actives help give you a gorgeous baby-skin effect, smoothing and evening out tone. Its formula lasts for up to 18 hours and while stimulating epidermal renewal by kick-starting collagen production, delaying the onset of wrinkles and creating the perfect makeup base.
How to use: Shake well and squeeze a small amount of foundation onto the back of your hand. For a daytime look, use your fingertips or a brush to blend into your skin from the middle outwards for a tinted moisturizer effect. For the evening, carry out the same application but pat onto areas where you need extra coverage.

Above: Shade #6 (a befitting match for my NC 25 skin) , swatched in direct sunlight.
My Thoughts:
Prior to this foundation's arrival, I had read on more than one occasion that this formula offered light coverage; although I much prefer medium+ coverage, my enchantment with the Charlotte Tilbury line prompted me to try this nonetheless. Overall, I am glad I embraced the adventure! This foundation is lovely, especially for "great skin days" and casual moments when a more pared-down complexion is desired (e.g., weekends or after work and post-shower).
The finish is natural...not overly glowy or matte; I love the nearly HD quality effect...once buffed into the skin (I prefer to use a dampened Beauty Blender), it is virtually invisible while still blurring pores, unevenness and imperfections. If I prefer a more illuminated finish, I add a pea-sized amount of the Wonderglow for a radiant look. In terms of lasting power, I get 5-6 hours of wear before feeling the need to touch up. If I set it with powder directly following application, the wear time can even be extended! It is lightly scented and hasn't in any way irritated my sensitive skin.
Because the formula is initially sheer (albeit buildable to medium), the shades are forgiving and the range of 10 are sure to match a wide spectrum of skintones. Before ordering, I struggled to determine my best match as swatches online were frustratingly absent. That being said, I settled on #6 and could not have chosen a better option! It is a lovely light-medium beige with olive yellow undertones and it blends perfectly with my NC 25 skin. Although my early experiences have been positive thus far, I will continue to experiment with this formula and weigh back in after a few more weeks!

While in the Charlotte Tilbury spirt, I opted to swatch three of her pinky, peachy nude lipsticks (previously reviewed HERE and HERE)...is there anything better? Available at Nordstrom + Net-A-Porter, Nude Kate, Penelope Pink and B*tch Perfect are incredible options for a muted lip that still brings life to the face.
Nude Kate: A pale pinky beige with a cream finish.
Penelope Pink: A peachy nude beige with very little pink ; ) My favorite of the three!
B*tch Perfect: A light-medium peachy pink nude cream with intense opacity.

Finally, in honor of this Charlotte Tilbury-centric post, here is a brief visual recapitulation of her line's debut at the Nordstrom at the Grove in LA (initially mentioned HERE and HERE), which took place earlier this month...

Bottom Line: The Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation is a marvelous option for those seeking light to medium coverage and a natural, slightly glowing finish. The entire Charlotte Tilbury line (available at Nordstrom and Net-A-Porter) is pure delight and I am glad I have this foundation formula in my arsenal, especially for casual moments when just a bit of skin refinement is necessary.
I hope you enjoyed the close up of her gorgeous nude lip color as well as the overview of her LA debut event!
What are some of YOUR favorite Charlotte Tilbury products?
Good things ahead, including my October Favorites video, new product releases and a skincare closeup. Have a magnificent Halloween weekend...any fun plans?
Above: Skincare and skincare-inflused makeup for a subtle and refined canvas.
In honor of the maxim, "the best makeup is good skincare," this FOTD is dedicated to my current skincare and skincare-infused makeup favorites. When formulas impart high-performance efficacy, a simple beauty look (that's bare skin but better) will suffice!
Kindly scroll on for more details, images and the Bottom Line...
Above: Face, eyes, body and cosmetics...all under control with a few potent products!
Above: Oxygen-infused body lotion to combat the driest of skin.
(1) Karin Herzog Oxygen Body 1% Body Cream: This moisturizer/exfoliator hybrid employs the use of fruit acis and active oxygen to encourage cell turnover, leaving super smooth skin in its wake. Now that we are finally experiencing a burst of cool fall weather, my dry skin is benefitting from this powerful treatment...just a bit (spread with the brush so my fingertips do not absorb the active ingredients) over my limbs for a few minutes does the trick; I then wash it off in the shower and I am stunned by how soft and supple my skin is!
Above: This completely lives up to its cult status...my skin is ALWAYS improved upon using this elixir.
(2) SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (reviewed HERE and used HERE): It may feel like water, but this Pitera-drenched essence is much more! A moisturizer, refiner and first base layer all in one, pressing a few drops into my visage each morning and night has become an unmitigated part of my routine. I have noticed an improvement in my skin's overall luminosity, smoothness, clarity and health...I adore this (and just picked up a bottle for my mom!)
Above: Aubergine goodness...this rose-scented oil absorbs instantly, adding moisture and radiance to the face.
(3) Sisley Black Black Rose Precious Face Oil: With temperatures dropping, additional hydration reinforcements are now in order. This divinely-scented ultra thin dry oil is a perfect solution; I apply a few drops directly following my SK-II Facial Treatment and couldn't be more pleased with its ability to deliver moisture without looking shiny. The fact that it has anti-aging properties as well makes it a prudently luxe indulgence, indeed.
Above: The orbital area is in check with this La Prairie power team.
(4) La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream (reviewed HERE and HERE): I have tried an absurd amount of eye creams in the last year or two and this one easily ranks amongst the top three I've experienced. Rich and plush, it makes an immediate difference (brighter, tighter and smoother) when applied to the orbital area. Usage over time (I've tested this for the past month) further demonstrates its efficacy; the amount of fine lines near my eyes has reduced greatly and I am excited to monitor the results as I head into month #2.
Above: With a single drop, the luminescent serum immediately brightens the eyes.
(5) La Prairie Eye Essence Platinum Rare (initially mentioned HERE): This newly-released essence is the quintessential partner for the Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream (discussed above). Silky and cushiony (with subtle light reflecting properties), this serum works best when applied first; it reduces puffiness, dark circles and fatigue, thereby priming the orbital area for the hydration and lifting abilities of the Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift. I like to think of both products as an absurdly effective one-two punch that vastly improves the all-important region that frames the "windows to the soul."
Above: Color + Skincare = the best skin.
(6) Surratt Beauty Surrealiste Skin Concealer (swatched HERE and reviewed HERE): This concealer has the most perfect ability to render blemishes and dark spots completely invisible; the texture is like real skin and its penchant for staying in place without creasing, migrating or fading is unparalleled. This is always in my bag.
(7) Air Repair Maximum Moisture Lip Quencher: This brand new release from the marvelous Air Repair line (the travel set is reviewed HERE and is also available at Target.com) is an ultra-hydrating lip product with a lovely shine and softly shimmering pink tint. Since receiving it, I've been wearing it daily, both alone (for a natural look...as in the images below) and under lip color for an extra dose of moisture. My perrenially dry lips are left smooth, comfortable, full and happy...love this non-sticky delight!
(8) By Terry Densiliss Wrinkle Control Serum Foundation in #7 (swatched and reviewed HERE): Nothing says skincare + foundation as clearly as this magnificent base from the venerable By Terry line. Medium to full coverage with anti-aging ingredients and a flattering semi-matte finish, this foundation perfects the canvas in a couple of pumps. I really enjoy wearing this formula in the cooler months as I find it gives my skin an extra protective boost.
(9) Chantecalle Liquid Lumiere Anti-Aging Cheek Illuminator in Luster (reviewed HERE): This blush, illuminator and smoothing, anti-aging skincare gel adds instantly light to the face. Luster is a stunning shimmering coral that adds a dewy flush to the cheek bones. The fact that it also smooths fine lines and refines pores is sublime.
(10) Clé de Peau Beauté Perfect Lash Mascara (reviewed HERE): With rich dark black pigments and an easy to maneuver wand, this formula adds length, volume and strenth to the lashes in a single coat. It doesn't claim to be waterproof, but I have discovered that it completely adheres to one's fringe until it is removed...truly long-lasting for naturally fluttery lashes.

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this skincare inspired FOTD...sharing new product discoveries is my passion and nothing makes me a more satisfied beauty blogger than discussing what is tried, tested and true in my life! The culiminating look from the products mentioned may not be creative or trendy, but it, in my opinion, perfectly exemplifies the bare skin but better aesthetic ; )

Above: The Clé de Peau Beauté Limited Edition Coffret is unspeakably beautiful.
It has been my experience that some beauty products with gorgeous packaging possess formulas that leave much to be desired. The Clé de Peau Beauté Limited Edition Coffret (currently available at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Cledepeaubeaute.com), however, renders this opinion entirely incorrect! With three eyeshadows, two blushes, a mascara and a lipstick--all nestled in a gloriously lovely compact--this coffret is the embodiment of perfect form and function of celestial proportions.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches, images of the Coffret in action as well as the Bottom Line...
Above: An intricate celestial design dominates the theme of this gorgeous set.
Here are the official details, courtesy of Neiman Marcus:
Limited Edition radiant palette of eye, cheek, and lip colors to evoke the astral aura of a moonlit sky.
Contains:
Eyeshadow: 3 limited-edition shades.
Cheek color: 2 limited-edition shades.
Extra rich lipstick: 1 limited-edition shade.
Perfect lash Mascara: Black.
Above: The packaging has an Art Deco vibe, no?
The stunning compact contains:
A complex heather purple eyeshadow a satin finish
A sparkling neutral taupe eyeshadow
A shimmering pinky beige eyeshadow
A matte, baby pink blush
A matte, peachy apricot blush
Two eyeshadow applicators and a blush brush
Above: Three eyeshadows, two blushes, endless possibilities.
Like all Clé de Peau Beauté products I've tried thus far, I have found the eyeshadows (also comprehensively reviewed HERE) and blushes to be of optimum quality. The shadows are satiny smooth and pigmented; they apply in a seamless fashion, are easy to blend and wear for hours without creasing or fading.
I am so glad both blushes are soft, sophisticated, muted, matte hues. I think this fortifies their classic nature and makes them wearable in all seasons...the peachy apricot shade can be used along the cheekbones to mimic a light contour and the pink hue is excellent for a flushed effect on the apples of the cheeks. Even though they lack obvious shimmer, they still allow the skin to look radiant and healthy--absolutely no powdery finish--and they also possess significant lasting power!

The Coffret also includes:
Perfect Lash Mascara (reviewed HERE): I love how long lasting this inky black formula is...once applied it doesn't smudge, flake or smear, even for those of us with watery and sensitive eyes. Oh, and it makes the lashes look incredibly lush, full and long!
Extra Rich Lipstick (also reviewed HERE and HERE): Silky, pigmented and long lasting with a supreme sense of hydration, this is luxury lip color at its best. The classic red hue is neutral enough to be universally flattering and a single coat is all that is necessary for an opaque finish.
Above: Black and red...iconic elements.

Bottom Line: If you are in the market for a truly opulent--yet entirely wearable--palette, the Clé de Peau Beauté (available at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and CledePeauBeaute.com), is a magnificent choice. The shades are well-suited to a variety of complexions and their neutral hues ensure use that extends far beyond the holiday season, thereby making it an entirely justifiable investment. This is, without question, a gorgeously apropos gift for luxury beauty lovers of all ages and walks of life.
So many good things ahead including more foundation (!!), new beauty discoveries and a FOTD!
Enjoy the start of your weekend...what are YOU up to?

Above: Sephora, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom...just a bit of retail therapy at my favorite retailers.
Happy weekend to you! I just determined (during some rare, end-of-the-work-week quality time on the Internet) that the post-Halloween, pre-holiday season SALES have officially arrived! A perusal of my favorite retailers yielded quite a wish list.
1. NORDSTROM: The 40% off sale (running now through November 11th), touted to be "like the Half-Yearly but better" has a plethora of marked down merchandise that can be worn this minute. Here are my choices...
Elizabeth and James Riely Flared Skirt: I get so much mileage out of my black flared skirt...it's essentially a little black dress with even more versatility since your top (blouse, tee shirt, tank or sweater!) can be changed out for the occasion.
Rag and Bone Noelle Bootie (reviewed HERE and HERE): I cannot believe these are now on sale. I absolutely adore mine and happily paid more for what I consider to be an extremely well made, immensely flattering, endlessly comfortable and fairly unique pair of booties. I wear mine a few times a week and the love affair has not even the slightest bit cooled...get these.
Rag and Bone the Skinny Stretch Jeans in Coal: I have a few pairs of Rag and Bone jeans in this cut and love how well they flatter one's legs and booty...slimming but not painted on, these are destined to be denim icons and the black wash enables a paradoxical sense of laid back dressiness.
Kork-Ease Natalya Demi Wedge Boot (reviewed HERE): I have already sung the praises of these ridiculously comfortable booties...I own them in both the black and tan shades and wear them constantly, much to the neglect of some of my more high-maintenace booties. In light of their look, quality and comfort, I cannot for the life of me figure out why they are so affordable. Glad to see that they are still in stock!
2. NEIMAN MARCUS: Select items are 30% off and they go back to full price after Saturday 11/8 so indulge in Helmut Lang and Equipment while it still can be fiscally justifiable! My eye is on the...
DL 1961 Skinny Jeans: These have a marvelous sense of stretch but fit like a glove...no dreaded stretching out over the course of wear (I HATE that!) and this dark wash can be dressed up or down, making them extremly versatile. They fit true to size in my experience!
Equipment Aubrey Silk Animal-Print Dress: It is no secret that I cannot get enough Equipment and this dress in an edgy (yet classic) print is beyond apropos for the holiday season. Oh, and this has POCKETS! I find that the Equipment dresses tend to run big so you may want to consider going down a size.
Helmut Lang Morse Leather Neck Crepe Top: A high-neck black blouse should be a mandatory part of every classic minimalist's wardrobe. It is the quintessential background for a statement necklace and the leather accent is so chic for streamlined, jewelry-free moments. Love.
Equipment Reese Long-Sleeved Plaid Blouse: I already have this in a different color combination and adore the plaid pattern for the cooler months. Preppy and progressive.
3. SEPHORA: The 20% sale for VIB and VIB Rouge members (running now through Monday, November 10th) is too good for eligible shoppers to pass up. Some of my recommendations for this promotion include...
NARS Audacious Lipstick (reviewed HERE): A spectrum of shades boasting a full coverage, ultra-hydrating formula, this is a lipstick lovers dream come true. A few of my favorite shades include Raquel (nude perfection...reviewed HERE) and Claudia (a perfectly wearable bright pink).
Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Lift Foundation (swatches of every shade + full review HERE): Skincare benefits, medium coverage and a skin-like finish make this new foundation formula a brilliant option...it has fast found its way into my foundation rotation.
Tom Ford Velvet Orchid: I am on my second sample of this fragrant elixir and am on the cusp of splurging on a proper bottle of my own. It is simultaneously sensual, sophisticated, chic and fresh (expertly capturing the sweet, musky, creamy floral goodness to which I gravitate) and I cannot stop smelling my wrist every single time I wear it.
SK-II Pitera Essence Set Red Flower (review HERE): This excellent foray into the venerable SK-II skincare line is a killer deal...the fact that it currently comes in gorgeous, limited-edition floral packaging is a beauty bonus, indeed. The Facial Treatment Essence has become a key component in my skincare routine and my insatiable SK-II obsession all began with this initial trial set. Glowing skin is just around the corner...
**I just placed my first VIB order of the weekend this morning which includes some old favorites and new discoveries...the image below of my order is clickable, so freel free to click on a product to find out more. In sum, the cotton pads (reviewed HERE) and Koh Gen Do Spa Water/Spa Water Cloths (recently discussed HERE) are daily staples, I've read nothing but great things about the new Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Powder (I ordered 03 Natural Beige as this formula runs a touch light) and I adore the NudeStix Lip Pen in Lolly (reviewed HERE) so I couldn't wait to try the even more pigmented matte versions in Sexie and Bare (below).
Above: This picture, from the NudeStix Instagram account, sent me over the edge for Sexie and Bare (on top row from left to right)...they both look so pigmented and perfect for fall and winter.
--Shop the Post--
Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this curated list of discounted options...I, for one, adore getting a good deal, and venture to say you may feel the same way. Saving money on timeless staples like blouses, jeans and shoes means more money for lipstick ; )
What is catching YOUR eye?
I am working may way through responding to your wonderful comments this weekend...so thankful to finally have some much-needed time at home!

In light of my unabashed adoration for niche and independent beauty lines, I have long been an ardent fan of Space.NK. The boutique (oft found within Bloomingdale's in the US) carries a spectrum of carefully-curated beauty and skincare treasures, sure to delight even the most descriminating purveyor. Here is a spotlight on some of my latest Space.NK discoveries...from high-performance Vitamin C serum to a vampy (yet entirely wearable) fall lip, this boutique is brimming with eclectic good taste!
Kindly scroll on for more details, images and the Bottom Line...
Above: A bit of this and a bit of that for a glowing, shaded and flushed canvas.
As aforementioned, this post focuses on a balanced mixture of skincare and cosmetics...first up, some brilliant cleansing products.
Above: The Daily Fix Japanese Washcloth + African Botanics Pure Marula Cleansing Oil for a marvelous face washing experience.
The African Botanics line (also reviewed HERE) harnesses the power of the sweetly fragrant South African Marula Fruit to expertly cleanse and care for the face and body. The Cleansing Oil also contains Fruit Acids derived from Bilberry, Pink Grapefruit, Sugar Maple, Sugar Cane and Lemon to gently cleanse the face of all dirt and impurities without stripping it of valuable moisture.
I like to further the cleansing process with the Daily Fix Japanese Washcloth; crafted of a luxurious textured nylon, this bathtime indulgence effectively removes dead cells while still being friendly to sensitive skin (like mine). Although one may want to excerise caution when using it near delicate facial skin, it works so well on the body to slough off the remains of the day...my skin is rendered smooth, radiant and incredibly touchable.
Above: A focus on cleansing and priming with African Botanics, Daily Fix + Bakel
Upon cleansing, I have been working with the Bakel Thio C Revitalizing Glowing Face Serum. This streamline box of vials looks like the world's most glamourous science experiment and my inner nerd lept for joy at the prospect of mixing said vials to create an active serum. Designed to combat signs of aging (fine lines and discoloration) and add an illuminating glow to the visage, actual Vitamin C powder is kept sequestered from the liquid suspension until it is released and agitated.
Once prepared, each vial stays viable for up to three days. I've been using it day and night as a weightless layer/first base and am beyond pleased with my smoother, brighter, tighter skin...can't wait to monitor the longer-term results!
Above: The top must be depressed to release the Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) powder.
Above: Once shaken, the serum is completely prepared and ready for application...smooth glowing skin ahead!
For the eyes, I am beyond impressed with the NUDESTIX Magnetic Eye Color in Immortal (reviewed HERE). This gorgeous, minimalist line has made quite an impression on the beauty market and one spin with the Magnetic Eye Color Pencil completely explains its accolades. The creamy, pigmented formula gildes onto the skin with ease and Immortal's lush bronzy brown is one of those rare, universally flattering shades that is sure to be beautiful for every eye color. With a slightly satin finish and immense lasting power (this. does. not. budge), I cannot wait to pick up a few more! No creasing, no migrating and no flaking--just a creamy, colorfast wash of color--oh, and need I mention that each NUDESTIX comes equipped with a sharpener in its own matte black mirrored tin? Perfection, indeed.
Above: Lipstick Queen Silver Screen Lipstick in Made It is a dark, vampy, blackberry wine shade...so chic for fall.
I have already sung the praises of the intensely chic Lipstick Queen Silver Screen Lipstick (full review HERE) but hadn't spent a lot of time with the shade Made It, since it is, by all accounts, completely out of my comfort zone. That being said, my most recent experiment with it has changed my perspective on this dark, vampy, blackberry wine shade. Although it took my eyes a minute or two to adjust to the deep hue on my otherwise pinky nude lips, I eventually acclimated and grew to love the bold hue, probably because it reminded me of some of my favorite Silent Film Era stars. Because it is a statement on its own, Made It should be paired with minimal eye and cheek products for a maximum impact that is still apropos for everyday life. I love it with swath of NUDESTIX Immortal (discussed above) for a subdued, smoky effect. The cool tone of this lip color enhances the whiteness of one's teeth and the luxe, hydrating formula keeps lips healthy and moisturized.
Above: A swatch of Made It in direct sunlight.
Above: NUDESTIX Lolly is a delicate, creamy, semi-sheer peachy pink.
The NUDESTIX Lip Pen in Lolly is a delightful surprise. Although this particular shade is deemed a "sheer," I find that it offers just the right amount of gleaming opacity. Lolly is a lovely, creamy peachy pink with a translucent, yet pigmented finish and I adore wearing it on its own for an innocent flush or over other lip color (as demonstated in the images that follow) for additional shine and dimension. It stays in place (without being overly sticky) and my lips stay hydrated and comfortable for hours!
Above: A swatch of NUDESTIX Lolly in direct sunlight.

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this overview of some of my latest Space.NK discoveries...there truly is no other retailer in the world to carry such a collection of high-end, diverse and eclectic products. Everytime I visit online or in person, I always chance upon something new!
What are some of YOUR favorite Space.NK discoveries? Please do share in the comments section!

Above: My lip balm menagerie...(1) Aerin Rose Lip Balm, (2) Fresh Sugar Tulip and (3) Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Overnight Lip Balm.
With the temperatures finally dropping on the West Coast, I am finding that my perennially dry lips are in need of some extra reinforcements. In turn, my lip balm wardrobe currently consists of three marvelous lip balms that, while equally effective, serve different purposes throughout my day.
Kindly scroll on for more details, images and the Bottom Line...
(1) Aerin Rose Lip Balm: This silky formula comes in a chic pot, renders a slightly shiny, whisper of pink tint and infuses the lips with a rose scented salve that locks moisture in for hours. Sophisticated, restrained and endlessly lovely, I envision this new release becoming an iconic product in the gorgeous Aerin line. Such a brilliant option for casual moments at home (see below) and on the go. Permanently in my purse as of late!
(2) Fresh Sugar Tulip: When you are in the mood for a more colorful statement, this sheer hot pink wonder (which also boasts SPF 15) offers lipstick-quality pigmentation, coupled with an ultra-moisturizing formula that one has come to expect from the venerable Fresh line. If the Aerin Rose Balm is the demure debutante, then Fresh Sugar Tulip is her edgy, sassy younger sister...so much fun ; )
(3) Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Overnight Lip Balm: This clear, practically matte formula has been a nighttime ritual for me in November. With a texture that feels like velvet and a soft vanilla scent that immediately calms the senses, I have been utterly astounded by how smooth, plump and hydrated my lips are the morning after application. The streamlined black tube and clear balm may feel rather understated, but believe me when I say that the results are anything but. Off to finish my tea, apply some and go to bed this minute!
Above (L-R): Swatches of Aerin Rose Balm, Fresh Sugar Tulip and Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Overnight Lip Balm in direct sunlight.
Bottom Line: In light of the fact that lips look and feel their best when they receive moisture 24 hours a day, the concept of a lip balm wardrobe makes completely rational sense to me! I am enjoying these new additions to my lip balm menagerie and appreciate the fact that they each fulfill a different, yet vital, objective in my quest for around the clock hydration.
What are some of YOUR favorite lip balms?
xx and much more on the way, including new procurements from Burberry Beauty, By Terry and SK-II!

This week was a flash...laborious and exhausting, but a flash nonetheless! In light of the rapid pace in which each day proceeded, I found myself relying upon a streamlined skincare regimen and facile neutrals for a polished yet relaxed look.

Product Breakdown:
SK-II Ultimate Revival Essence LXP (reviewed HERE): I've used the last of my deluxe sample of this Pitera concentrate and have faced the realization that it is time to splurge on a full sized bottle. This elixir does it all...smoothing, clarifying, anti-aging and hydrating, a few drops in the morning and my face is revived.
La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Eye Cream (reviewed HERE): I have been using this eye cream habitually since receiving it and couldn't be more pleased with the results thus far...a tiny dab around the orbital area and my skin is plumped and glowing and fine lines are diminishing by the week. This completely lives up to its venerable reputation.
Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge #2(reviewed HERE): I am never without this primer/illuminator/moisturizer/light tint. I just picked up new tube last week...a totally worthy investment.
Pur Minerals Air Perfection CC Cushion Compact in Medium(mentioned HERE): I've used this new foundation a few times this week and have been entirely impressed by the ultra-light texture, semi-matte medium to full coverage and HD finish that simply looks like really good skin. Minimal scent and maximum lasting power makes this a Cushion Compact to embrace! Highly recommended.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow(reviewed HERE): Perhaps the quickest and easiest way to create subtle contour and highlighting in seconds, I have absolutely no regrets about purchasing this. A marvelous product!
Tom Ford Cream Color for Eyes in Spice: It seems that the LE Platinum has been receiving all of the accolades but I much prefer the warm mid-toned brown effect of Spice. It is pigmented, has a satin finish and leans slightly rust for a beautiful take on a neutral. A little goes a long way and don't forget to blend, blend, blend. Oh, and the lasting power is insane!
Surratt Beauty Relevee Mascara (reviewed HERE): Two coats yields major length and volume and there is never a flaking issue with this fantastic formula...I am on tube #3.
Clé de Peau Beauté Shimmering Lipgloss Trio...Pale Apricot shade: I picked up this trio on a whim last month and have now discovered that it is virtually impossible to track down. This lightest shade is a glimmering apricot that looks lovely with nude pink lipstick. Even if the trio is unattainable, the Cle de Peau Lipgloss formula (reviewed HERE) is brilliant and worth pursuing. It is long lasting, highly reflective and has the perfect amount of "tack" to stay in place without being inconveniently sticky.

This weekend, I had the distinct honor of speaking on a panel at California State University, Long Beach (I attended as an undergrad and also for two rounds of graduate school) for the "Marketing Me" series. I truly enjoyed getting the chance to speak to eager college students, on the cusp of their career pursuits, about how to successfully navigate the potentially turbulent waters of social media.
Kindly scroll on for more details on the panel, an overview of my shopping excursion later on that day and a sneak peek on new products I'm photographing for upcoming posts as well as the Bottom Line...
Above: My alma mater...CSULB.
Above: I spoke on a panel with experts in resume writing, recruitment and networking.
Camel Blazer...I got mine last season, but here is a similar version, just a touch longer (which I love!)
DL1961 Skinny Jeans (also mentioned HERE)...super slimming and these do not stretch out; can't wait to pick up more pairs from this brand.
Rag and Bone Noelle Booties (linked to the best deal I could find onnline since they are now sold out at Nordstrom)...I wear these constantly and highly recommend them for an edgy look with a comfortable feel.
Later that day, I headed to the mall with my mom to run some errands and, now that the weather is finally feeling a bit cooler, indulge in a bit of fall + winter shopping. Nordstrom is having the equivalent of its Half Yearly sale and many stores (including Bloomingdale's and TUMI) are in the midst of Friends and Family promotions. Below are some of my selections...the image is clickable and the full rundown of my purchases (with wildly compelling justification) follows!
Topshop Sheepskin Collar Wool Coat...I've been yearning for a camel coat for ages and am never disappointed with the quality of the high-end options ($200+) of outerwear at Topshop. Cannot wait for this beauty to arrive!
Kensie Zip Front Jersey Dress...a bit more casual (but long enough to still be work appropriate) and slighly quirky, this dress is immensely comfortable and perfect with booties.
Tildon Faux Leather Midi Skirt...I adore the length of this skirt, and the fact that it's black (goes with everything) AND has pockets (my dream feature) made the purchase of this staple a no brainer.
Tumi Leather iPhone 6 Cover...iPhone 6 phone covers are difficult to come by right now and I am pleased with the classic, restrained and utilitarian nature of this particular version.
Marc Jacobs Ankle Booties...still on the line with these (in light of the 6 other pairs of black booties I currently own and wear) but the fact that they are on sale right now is likely going to send me over the edge. I tried them on yesterday and can confirm that they are comfortable and can be dressed up or down...the quilting pattern is so unique, no?
Sensai Cellular Performance Cream Foundation...I bit the bullet and ordered this from the illustrious Harrod's in the UK (it was really quite easy and the shipping was surprisingly reasonable). I cannot wait to see how different (if at all) this is from my HG version that suddenly left the country earlier this year. Will report back!
Shu Uemura The Lightbulb Oleo-Essence Pact...since I was ordering from the UK, I didn't want to waste the process by simply ordering a single item (above). In turn, I added this foundation to my basket after reading good things about it online...I have a penchant for cream foundations...in compacts...plus, this cannot be procured in the US!
Diorific Golden Shock Colour Lip Duo in Enchanting Shock...finally, this gorgeous pinky nude was a last minute addition (and I got one for my mom as well). I haven't seen this shade at any stores in the US and am thrilled that it is on its way to me ; )
Finally, I have so many brilliant new products to share on the BP...a plethora of Burberry Beauty, By Terry and SK-II to be exact! I photographed a host of Burberry this weekend so I can begin testing it for FOTD's and reviews and I beyond enchanted with what I am seeing thus far...behold, the Complete Eye Palette in Dark Spice below...
Bottom Line: I hope you had a marvelous weekend and also enjoyed my weekend recapitulation, brimming with a bit on my speaking and an insane amount of shopping (Fall is BY FAR my favorite time to shop...you?).
May your week be off to a wonderful start...many good things ahead on BP!
xoxo,

As the seasons change, so does my skin tone and, consequently, my foundation shade needs. In order to accommodate this transitional time, I have once again focused my attentions on the gorgeous Laura Mercier line. From the wealth of high-performance base products to the spectrum of shades in which they come, Laura Mercier enables the most flawless of faces!
Kindly scroll on for swatches of my favorite Laura Mercier concealer (the Secret Camouflage), swatches of ALL shades of the Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation and two bold Laura Mercier lip looks that resonate with the cooler months as well as the Bottom Line...
Above: Laura Mercier Makeup Artist Adam Mantell + Beauty Professor
My swatching session began with a wonderful meeting with Laura Mercier Makeup Artist Adam Mantell, who expertly guided me through some of the base options. First up was the Secret Camouflage (available at retailers including Lauramercier.com, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Sephora and Space.NK); I have used this incredible cover up since my early college years and, to date, haven't found a concealer that covers an errant blemish better. With two shades (a cooler and warmer option) for customizable blending and an opaque, drier texture for immediate adhesion and coverage of the spot, this concealer cannot be beat. Secret Camouflage #3 (SC-03) is a spot on shade match for me and I have gone through nearly five compacts over the years. If you haven't yet tried it, I highly recommend giving this formula a spin!
Above: Swatches of the first four shades of Secret Camouflage.
Shade Descriptions (per my experience):
SC-1: Very fair neutral beige for @N10-15 skin
SC-2: Very light neutral beige for N20 skin
SC-3: Light neutral beige for N23-25 skin
SC-4: Light-medium beige for N25-30 skin
SC-5: Medium beige for N30-35 skin
SC-6: Medium dark beige for N35-40 skin
SC-7: Dark beige for N40-45 skin
SC-8: Darkest beige for N45+ skin

Onto the foundation! Now that my post-summer tan has all but faded, I have had to change shades to match my lighter complexion. Although I can wear the gorgeous gleaming Radiance Foundation Primer year round, I am now shade Natural (suitable for NC 23-25 skin), rather than Bisque (my summer shade) in the Tinted Moisturizer and Macadamia (suitable for NC 23-25 skin), rather than Dusk (my NC 30 summer shade) in the Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation.
The Tinted Moisturizer (all shades swatched HERE) is apropos for casual days when just a bit of coverage is desired but, as one who adores medium+ coverage, the Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation (available at retailers including Lauramercier.com, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Sephora) is my formula of choice on a regular basis. With an ultra-light texture and a demi-matte, invisible finish, this liquid foundation covers imperfections and lasts for hours. The fact that it comes in 24 shades of varying undertones guarantees that one is sure to find a befitting match!
I had the opportunity to swatch EVERY shade of the Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation in various lighting situations...kindly scroll on for shade desriptions and images...

To further reflect the cooling trend outside, I decided to temporarily bypass my normal pinky-nudes in favor of bold purples and reds that capture the soon-to-be festive season perfectly. The Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Orchid (available at retailers including Lauramercier.com, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Space.NK) goes on like a semi-sheer, ultra-reflective stain and packs just enough pigment to totally transform the lips.
The Creme Smooth Lipstick in Red Amour (available at retailers including Lauramercier.com, Macy's, Nordstrom, Sephora and Space.NK) takes lips to the maximum, drenching them in velvety soft crimson for a classic take on the red lip.

Above: SK-II Cellumination Aurabright...for skin as luminous as the stunning packaging itself!
When in the testing phase for new skincare, I generally allow a minimum of four weeks before discussing my experience on Beauty Professor. That being said, sometimes a product is so instantly remarkable that I cannot help but share my initial thoughts sooner, rather than later! Such is the case for SK-II Cellumination Aurabright (available at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's) My affinity for SK-II products (discussed HERE, HERE and HERE) has been apparent over the past few months; in fact, I cannot imagine my current skincare routine without these Pitera-infused gems.
Designed to bring clarity, brightness and radiance to the skin, SK-II Cellumination Aurabright also provides an instant glow upon application, due to the subtle iridescence of the formula.
I have been applying this directly following a few drops of the SK-II Ultimate Revival Essence LXP (discussed HERE) and am taken aback by how smooth, silky, and slightly radiant my skin is. Even more delightful, the slight glow lasts the entire day...all the while avoiding an undesirable detour into "oily" territory. It yields an almost impossible-to-pinpoint quality that is ultra-flattering on the skin, with or without makeup. If I am feeling this ardent after a week's usage, I cannot wait to revisit my feelings after a month of consistent wear!

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this quick overview of the SK-II Cellumination Aurabright (available at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's). I cannot stop touching my face because it feels so smooth and the subtle glow (even when wearing a more matte foundation like the Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting) is utterly enchanting. It is such a lovely fusion of efficacy on and under the surface of the skin; consequently, I will continue to monitor results over the long term and weigh back in a few weeks' time!
Have YOU tried the SK-II Cellumination Aurabright? Thoughts?
Good things ahead, including new discoveries from Burberry and By Terry as well as my new foundations from Harrod's (initially discussed HERE).
Hope your week is going well...xx,
